about amy

Amy Harvison has been a child of God since age 9 and was blessed to be born into a family of believers who taught her about God and His ways.  She enjoys watching how Christ seeks to live through her daily as His Body in her world and culture and finding such joy as she enters that work with Him!

She has served the Body in many locations as a worship team vocalist and contributed her poetry as part of the worship experience.  She has also been involved in various teaching and leading capacities in women's ministries, written Bible studies and training materials for women, and been a speaker at women's retreats.

She has written prayers for groups of believers to pray during special times of intercession as well as written teachings on prayer and fasting to assist during defining moments.  She published a book of her original poetry in 2005 -
Whispered Treasures - which is available for purchase on the amy's poetry page of this site.

She contributed the Group Prayers published in
Renovation of the Heart Student Edition by Dallas Willard and Randy Frazee and wrote the meditations on the 30 Core Competencies Meditation CD as part of Connecting with God by Randy Frazee.  She researched and assisted with the compilation of the scriptures used on Kevin Walker's CD, Saturate, a meditation on the believer's identity in Christ.

Amy and her husband, Mark, live in Texas with their Chihuahua,
Peanut, and enjoy motorcycling, Tex-Mex, and island sunrises in their spare time.  Amy is the mother of two adult children.  Her son, Bo and first grandchild, Trey, live in Georgia.  Her daughter, Laura, lives in Texas.
